Police Find Elderly Couple Dead

"FENTON, MO — A married couple is dead after what police say was a murder/suicide in Fenton. Investigators are on the scene on Rockshire Drive.

"At approximately 6:05 a.m. today, officers received a call for a shooting on 713 Rockshire Drive.

"Upon arrival, officers found two victims dead of apparent gunshot wounds. A relative of the victims called police to the scene.

"The victims were identified as James Roesslein, 81, and Patsy Roesslein, 77, who lived at the address. The two were husband and wife, and `all indications at this point in the investigation point to the causes of death being a murder-suicide,` says a news release from St. Louis County Police Department Public Information Coordinator Sgt. Brian Schellman.

"Through their initial investigation, detectives believe James Roesslein shot his wife, and then took his own life."
