Kid Crawls Through Window, Finds Bodies

"MILLERS CREEK, NC — A woman died Monday and a man died later at Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem as a result of an incident investigated as a murder/suicide in Millers Creek.

"Investigators believe Reynaldo Limon-Garcia, 33, shot his wife, Araceli Davalos-Limon, 30, and then shot himself in a mobile home on lot 12 of a mobile home park at 1408 Pads Road, said Capt. Brandon Absher of the Wilkes Sheriff’s Department.

"Absher said Ms. Davalos-Limon was deceased and Limon-Garcia was unconscious but alive when deputies found them lying beside each other on a bed.

"Tuesday morning, Absher said Limon-Garcia was in critical and unstable condition at Baptist. Wednesday morning, a Baptist spokesman said he had died.

"Absher said Ms. Davalos-Limon and Limon-Garcia were both shot once in the head and the handgun that investigators believe was used was between them on the bed.

"He said their three children, ages 8, 10 and 11, arrived home from school Monday afternoon and found doors of the mobile home on lot 12 locked.

"The children went to the nearby mobile home of a relative and no one answered when a person there called the mobile home on lot 12, he said.

"Family members then helped the 8-year-old crawl through a window to enter the mobile home and unlock a door. Absher said the child saw Ms. Davalos-Limon and Limon-Garcia lying on the bed but thought they were sleeping."
